Your progress

I went in the kitchen to make your bottles for daycare and when I came back into the bedroom, this is what you were doing.

Just for the record, when I left the room, you were in the bouncy seat.

Of course as you can see, you are underneath it. You were laughing and kicking it.

We got snowed in today. It was very exciting and you love to look at it. We got about 7 inches at our house. I got this picture of you today.

I now know how you managed to get under the bouncy seat.

You are almost able to sit up on your own. You are very proud of yourself when you sit up.

Your dad and I are too.

I can't believe you're five months already! Where has the time gone?

Any day now I feel like you're about to start crawling.
Not so sure i'm ready for that, but we'll see.

So I am completely in love with this little guy.

Isn't it amazing how much a baby can change the way you look at life?

He makes my life more beautiful.

He makes me want to be a better person in every way.

I love rocking him to sleep every night. As I watch him drift off to dream land, I just thank god that I get to be his mom.

God trusted me and handpicked me to be the mom of this wonderful gift.

Ahhh, just makes me so happy inside.

With everything going on it Haiti right now my heart breaks for the families there.

Crazy how these people didn't have much to begin with anyway, and now they really have nothing... and maybe no one.

Reading a CNN article at work yesterday, a journalist was describing a mother walking around covered in debris holding her baby tight. It just makes me so sad to think about that image.

I am however comforted by the fact that we have a God who takes care of those in distress.

I know that he will send people to help and give of their hearts and I'll still continue to pray.

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what was asked of him."

a brand new year

I'll have to give credit to 2009. It was a wonderful year! I was pregnant most of the year and then welcomed my son into the world in August and got to spend the last 4 months of the year with him. I learned alot and grew as a person, became a mother, tried to be a better wife, improved on my cooking skills, bought a new camera, laughed and cried often, and overall just felt happy and blessed. I'm looking forward to all that 2010 is going to hold. My son will turn one this year! This year i've made it a goal for myself to try and cook something new once a week. I'm really looking forward to trying new things. I will update later with pics what i've cooked so far! :)
